To celebrate Finnish Independence Day, The UCL Nordic Society have teamed up with FilmSoc to bring you this special virtual screening! In June 1941, a Finnish machine gun company is deployed from its barracks to prepare an invasion of the Soviet Union. Crossing the border, the band of men engage in guerilla tactics as their advance on Soviet positions spills into local cities.

Discussion will follow the film over zoom, a great space for discussing your ideas. Alternatively, treat the discussion like a podcast and just sit back to listen to other students’ thoughts.

The stream will begin a few minutes before the start of the screening.
