I’ve recently inherited a box of old 8mm home movies from my grandparents, and I’m looking to convert them to digital to preserve the memories. I want to make sure I retain as much of the original quality as possible. In particular, I’m looking into Super 8 to digital options and wondering what’s worked best for others.
Is DIY scanning worth the effort, or is a professional service the safer bet? Any recommended models, services, or software for color correction and stabilization? I’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share.
