Hi everyone!
As some of you might remember, we filmed an incredible film called BluePrint (previously ‘To Sadness’) last June - a surreal dramedy (see this post to find more information: https://forum.uclfilm.com/d/460-crew-call-for-affiliate-short-film). We are very proud to announce that we have a rough cut and we need a few more people to join our crew to help with the fine edit!!
Written and directed by yours truly, DP-ed by the incredible Sam Q. Jackson, and starring the fabulous Julia Barrel, this project is an amazing opportunity for anyone wishing to work on a super ambitious and creative film where anything goes (not really anything, but it is surreal, so you can go a bit nuts).
We are looking for:
- FINE CUT EDITOR: You will work with me on the fine edit. The film requires some advanced editing - a green screen scene, color grading, imaginative transitions, etc. Prior experience is therefore required. Editing plays a big part in ramping up the film’s surrealness and has a lot of room for your own creative input - the rough cut is simply a blueprint if you will, and so there’s loads of room for some truly crazy-inspired editing.
- ANIMATOR/DESIGNER & EDITING ASSISTANT: We are looking for someone to animate/design the credits section of the film. You will help the fine cut editor and design any graphic material we might need throughout the film.
- FILM SCORE COMPOSER: Music is a crucial part of the film - you will have an opportunity to compose a truly creative score, playing with different genres, instruments, moods. The score should reflect the emotional lanscape of the film (which in this film is a handful) and contribute to the narrative as much as the image does.
- PR MANAGER & POST-PRODUCTION ASSISTANT: You will handle our social media, help us produce promotional material and design visuals - film posters, graphics, sneak peaks, etc. You will help the producers with post-production logistics, including organising and advertising the premiere.
You need to be available in May (especially the last two weeks), and potentially June. We can be quite flexible when it comes to working around your exams and similar, so don’t worry about it as long as you are willing to put in the work🙂
