Have you ever wanted to operate and manage lighting and camera crews on TV and film productions to create the right look and feel for images?
Do you have previous experience working with cinema cameras? Are you a visionary that can communicate the story through the moving image? Are you collaborative and willing to achieve a shared vision with the Director and the crew? If so, the role of a DoP for a Term Film may be for you!
Starting now, students can apply to become the director of FilmSoc’s 2022/2023 Term 3 Film.
You have until the 4th of June, 23:59 to write one side of an A4 sheet (max) to tell us why you should be this term’s DoP. If you have a portfolio or any previous work, please attach it to your application.
Experience in films is not essential, although it is worth mentioning if you have it. If not, please use some examples in other fields that demonstrate skills. We may invite some of the applicants for an interview, where they will present their ideas and meet the team working on the project.
