Are you able to communicate, negotiate, and manage a large crew of filmmakers? Do you approach obstacles with a problem-solving mentality? Do you see yourself holding the reins of a big project from start to finish? If you’ve answered yes to these questions, then perhaps you were made to be a producer.
Starting now, students can apply to become the producer of FilmSoc’s 2022/2023 Term 3 Film.
You have until the 7th of May, 23:59, to write one side of an A4 sheet (max) to tell us why you should be this term’s producer. As the motor of the film, how do you see yourself contributing to each stage of production? Are you efficiently navigating budgetary constraints, encouraging your fellow crew members to persevere and build a world on screen together?
Experience in producing films is not essential, although of course it is worth mentioning if you have it. If not, please use some examples of your experience in other fields that demonstrate your strength in the desired areas for being a producer. Most importantly, what does leadership look like to you, and what skills do you hold that demonstrate that?
Once all applications have been received, we will select a few people for a face-to-face chat. You will receive an email with a notification regarding your application from our Drama Producer, Barbara Kononova.
