First Drop In session of the term in the FilmSoc studio from 3.30-5pm!!!
Appreciating the importance of ‘learning by doing’, during these informal 1.5 hours our studio will be open for you to pop in and play around with any equipment you might be interested in booking and using in the near future, but without the pressure or hassle that might come with doing those future projects.
If you’re hoping to use a blackmagic camera further down the line but have never touched one before, or have a question about a specific settings function; or want to learn how to handle tungsten lights safely before taking them on a shoot, or anything else, come along! SEIM Chaa will be around to try to answer any questions you might have.
If we are yet to meet you and you hope to book equipment in the upcoming weeks, these drop ins would also be a great way for you to demonstrate your familiarity with the kit - something we look to establish before processing equipment bookings.
Finally, please note drop in sessions ARE NOT cinematography workshops - these will happen later in the year. The idea here is that you come to the drop in with questions or to put any theory you’ve researched beforehand into practice.
See https://ucl-film-tv-society.booqable.shop for all our available equipment and https://forum.uclfilm.com/d/393-filmsoc-equipment-training-resources to get you started!
If you can’t make this one, do not fret as we will try to have these drop ins around once a fortnight throughout term 2. No membership required for this week✨🎥🎞
