The Term I film has wrapped and now enters its final stage - post-production. So, it’s that time again to start gathering scripts for FilmSoc’s Term II project!
This year, UCL Film & TV Society has removed the need for applying writers to hold a production membership - you only have to be a current student at UCL.
We’ll also be reviewing short stories this year which, if selected, will be transformed into a script by another writer chosen by the drama producer. For term films, we’re generally looking for scripts or stories that:
1. Take place in ~3 or fewer locations
2. Will run for between 5 and 15 minutes
3. Have an established sense of narrative/plot
A term film is usually around 10 minutes long and extensively planned, higher budget, full-crew projects.
Click here to apply via the form, which lets you send us your script or short story for consideration. Writers may be able to work with directors and producers on their submitted scripts if the circumstances warrant such interaction, however, writers should be aware that, aside from the material they submit, they may not have much other input in the creative decisions of the film.
YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO SUBMIT ONE SCRIPT OR SHORT STORY.
For more advice on how to write a script (software, format, etc.), please visit our writer’s page at uclfilm.com/writers/.
The deadline for submission is 8/1/2023 at 23:59.
