Now that exams are over (phew) the crew call for the playful-park centred-potentially political-Parakeet filled Term 3 Doc has opened!! We are excited to announce that the time has come for all those at UCL with an interest in filmmaking put themselves forward for filling out the roles we’ll need on set and in post-production. It is not essential that you come into the team with bags of experience under your belt. Our priority in choosing people is their enthusiasm and willingness to help make the set an enjoyable place to be and who will learn something or teach others while filming. Please don’t be put off from applying if you’ve never done any filmmaking with the society before, or at all for that matter! We will train people in the equipment they will be using and will be hosting a social for the crew to get to know each other before the shoot.
The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Saturday the 28th May. Please email info@uclfilm.com and tomi.haffety.19@ucl.ac.uk with a personal statement outlining any experience and your motivation for being involved with the documentary. You must currently have a production membership for the society in order to apply for any of the roles!
The shoot dates for the film are currently set as the 17-19th June.
Below is a provisional list of the roles we’re looking for, but please bear in mind that these may be subject to change and that we cannot guarantee by any means that everyone will get the role that they’ve applied for:
- Assistant Director
- Assistant Camera (with experience filming on a Super 8 camera)
- Boom Operator
- Sound Recordist
- Gaffer
- Runner
- Editor
