DIRECTOR BIDS (Deadline: Monday 2nd of May)
Have you ever wanted to have creative control over a project, as well as a crew that will be able to accomplish and fulfil your vision? If so, directing a Term Film may be for you!
Please submit a statement before midnight on the 2nd of May (1 side of A4 max.) outlining any relevant experience (always good but not necessary) and why you think you should be chosen as this term’s director. If you have a portfolio or any previous work that you can attach to your application then please do. Again, it’s important to emphasise that you do not have to have any directing experience to be considered for this role. Vision is often more important than technical knowledge. We will be inviting some of the applicants to take a look at the screenplay we’ve chosen in advance of an interview, where they will present their ideas on the project.
All bids are to be emailed to uclfilmsociety@gmail.com and bryn.chiappe@hotmail.com before the deadline.
PERSONAL STATEMENT GUIDELINES:
What are the qualities that make a good director? Please give examples of situations in the past where you have demonstrated these qualities.
Do you have previous experience in making films? If so, please tell us a bit more about your experience (does not necessarily have to be directing).
- What sort of films do you enjoy? Please give a few references of individual films or directors that inspire you to help us understand your taste.
