16mm production
We are taking bids for the Term 3 16mm production. This can be a DOCUMENTARY OR A DRAMA, we are just asking for you to submit your script/research bid and then will decide which production to go with. Whether we choose to make a 16mm Doc or Drama film, the other category to still produce a Term 3 Film.
Shooting on film is incredibly expensive, so we are looking for something that fits specific guidelines in order to be feasible:
Minimal footage is required. We won’t consider any bids for documentaries that rely on a lot of interview footage, or for drama that rely on lots of long scenes. Bear in mind for documentaries that there’s a limitless amount of audio, so voiceovers and interview recordings etc. would be fine.
Very limited use of different locations. We’d ideally like to shoot in one location, but this can be indoors or outdoors.
The rest of the production costs are low. We won’t be able to spare much money for locations, paid actors/interviewees, travel costs, etc.
Documentary Treatment Guidelines:
Send a one-page treatment, detailing your proposed project alongside your personal skills and experience that will make you suited to researching it, to uclfilmsociety@gmail.com Please also CC your applications to tomihaffety@hotmail.co.uk
