Hello everyone!
Sign up now for the Fortnight Podcast Challenge, taking place 11 - 25 March! All entries will be voted online and the best ones will be posted on our blog, as well as the winner/the winning team will get free BFI tickets to a film of their choice!
You will research, record and edit the podcast in two weeks individually or in groups of two with limited equipment and time. There is NO prior audio editing/podcasting experience needed at all - this will be a fun challenge that will help you get to know other keen podcasters and film enthusiasts and collaborate on a project together or alone! Either way, it will be a great chance to get more audio editing experience!
Please fill out your name, contact details and if you have any equipment on this google form:
https://forms.gle/tuhneKWdPQVauBhy8
The deadline for signing up is Wednesday 9th of March, 11:59pm. You will be instructed about the next steps and the topic after the application deadline on Thursday 10th!
The challenge takes place over a fortnight, and so gives you enough time to research and record the podcast, allowing you to submit your entries by 5 pm on Friday 25th of March. The podcast should be no longer than 10 minutes each, and even with few resources, you can still make a podcast! Again, no recording experience is required, but please let us know if you have any equipment already so that we can equally distribute equipment if needed! Prizes will be given based on the audience and the jury vote and we’ll be looking for creative and thought provoking podcasts!
Following the completion of the podcast, we will be hosting an online voting procedure to gauge the audience’s vote and the jury prize as well as the honourable mentions will be published on our blog!
You must be a social or production member to apply.
Please email uclfilmsociety@gmail.com or directly alexia.mihaila.20@ucl.ac.uk if you have any questions! We look forward to listening to your podcasts and hope you have fun while making them!
