Documentary director of photography bids (Deadline: Friday 12th November @ 23:59)
Directors of photography are responsible for the photographic heart of the production, working with the director to figure out the look and feel of the documentary through lighting, framing and camera movement. You will most likely be the one behind the camera at most points of the day.
Please submit a statement before midnight on Friday 12th November (1 side A4 max.) outlining any relevant experience (always good but not necessary) and why you think you should be chosen as this term’s documentary DoP. If you have a portfolio/showreel then please include this in the email too. A few applicants may be contacted with further details about meeting with the director and producers to discuss the project in more detail.
All bids are to be emailed to [uclfilmsociety@gmail.com](mailto:uclfilmsociety@gmail.com) and tomi.haffety.19@ucl.ac.uk before the deadline.
PERSONAL STATEMENT GUIDELINES:
What are the qualities that make a good DoP? Please give examples of situations in the past where you have demonstrated these qualities.
Do you have previous experience in making films? If so, please tell us a bit more about your experience (does not necessarily have to have been as DoP).
Crew call for getting involved in any roles outside of director/writer/producer/DoP will be announced soon! Please consider getting involved in this project - it’s open to all, regardless of experience.
