Have you ever wanted to hold the reins of a big project, to oversee a film production from start to finish? Starting now, students can apply to become the producer of FilmSoc's 2021/2022 Term 1 Film.
You have until Monday 4th October at 6pm to write one side of an A4 sheet (max) to tell us why you should be this term’s producer. A producer must be organised, invested in the project, be able to work around time and budget constraints, be able to solve problems and show perseverance, determination and passion. You are the motor of the film, and we want to see this come through in your application. Experience in producing films is not essential, although of course it is worth mentioning if you have it. If not, please use some examples of your experience in other fields that demonstrate your strength in the desired areas for being a producer.
Once all applications have been received, we will select a few people for a face-to-face chat. Please let us know in your application about any unavailability over the week commencing the 11th of October, so that we can work around this for the interview.
All bids are to be emailed to uclfilmsociety@gmail.com before the deadline. Please also CC your applications to bryn.chiappe@hotmail.com.
PERSONAL STATEMENT GUIDELINES:
What are the qualities that make a good producer? Please give examples of situations in the past where you have demonstrated these qualities.
Do you have previous experience in making films? If so, please tell us a bit more about your experience (does not necessarily have to be producing).
PLEASE NOTE: You need to be a Production Member of the society to bid for and be involved.
