We're beginning term 3's screenings with a healthy dose of Wes Anderson to counteract the exam stress with some wholesome stories and soothing colour palettes. Hotel Chevalier is the short prologue to its older sibling The Darjeeling Limited, and seems to be criminally absent from the conversation where the feature-length film is concerned. With a plan to find themselves and bond with one another, three estranged brothers set off on a soul-searching train voyage across India. Their spiritual and familial journey veers rapidly and hilariously off-course.

Welcome to the Film and TV Society’s regular Thursday screening for the 2020/21 academic year! Discussion will follow each film over zoom, a great space for discussing your ideas. Alternatively, treat the discussion like a podcast and just sit back to listen to other students’ thoughts.
The stream will begin a few minutes before the start of the screening.
