DIRECTOR BIDS (Deadline: Saturday 27th March)
Have you ever wanted to have creative control over a project, as well as a crew that will be able to accomplish and fulfil your vision for presenting an informative, non-fictional story? If so, directing a documentary may be for you!
Please submit a statement before midnight on Saturday 27th March (1 side of A4 max.) outlining any relevant experience (always good but not necessary) and why you think you should be chosen as this documentary’s director. A panel of committee members, the producer, and field producer will invite a few applicants for a ‘face-to-face’ discussion (over Zoom) - date TBC. You will be emailed the treatment of the story for the documentary in advance of this meeting and asked a few questions on your vision for it.

PERSONAL STATEMENT GUIDELINES:
- What are the qualities that make a good director? Please give examples of situations in the past where you have demonstrated these qualities.
- Do you have previous experience in making films? If so, please tell us a bit more about your experience (does not necessarily have to be directing).
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY BIDS (Deadline: Saturday 27th March)
Directors of photography are responsible for the photographic heart of a production, working with the director to figure out the look and feel of a film through lighting, framing and camera movement. You will most likely be the one behind the camera at most points of the day.
Please Submit a statement before midnight on Saturday 27th March (1 side A4 max.) outlining any relevant experience (always good but not necessary) and why you think you should be chosen as this documentary’s DoP. A few applicants may be contacted with further details about meetings (over Zoom) with the director and producer- date (TBC)- in which the project may be discussed in more detail.

Crew call for getting involved in any roles outside of director/writer/producer/ DoP will be announced soon! Please consider getting involved in this project - it’s open to all, regardless of experience.
