Thanks for starting this thread Diego!
I have seen countless shorts, but I’ll recommend some from the top of my head.
The last one I saw was this poignant one set in the UK, on two old friends. I felt it was really relatable, as we come of age.
The YouTube channel that this film is featured on is popular for Short Films, so be sure to check it out!
Even some celebrities get featured on it.
A more local short set in Singapore (where I grew up in) is “Hentak Kaki” about an army regular, no longer fit for combat, experiencing a mid-life crisis. The dialogue is in very colloquial ‘Singlish’ - Singapore English. I served national service in the military as well, so I’m curious to hear the international response to this short.
I love shots with a twist at the end, so this horror shot is very good (no jump scares I promise)
The channel is another good source for horror shorts.
There’s this French shorts filmmaker I really like who produces work quite sporadically. His name is Wil Aime.
Here is his best work yet. His stuff really hooks you in.
Since it’s just past Valentine’s Day, here’s one last comedic short for us university students hahaha
